Emily Jensen is the co-founder of Risen Motherhood, a ministry that provides gospel-hope to moms in their everyday moments. In the midst of diaper changes, snack times, and trips to the park, she serves as the Content Director and co-host of the weekly podcast. In this position, she plans, creates, curates, and edits a variety of content for the ministry. Her first book, Risen Motherhood: Gospel Hope for Everyday Moments, co-authored with Laura Wifler, releases September 3rd, 2019.
Emily’s writing has been featured on The Gospel Coalition, For the Church, The Gospel Project Blog, Tiny Theologians, Gentle Leading, and more. She’s been interviewed on many podcasts including By Faith with Christine Hoover, Journeywomen, The Women Encouraged Podcast, Questions Kid’s Ask, Dad Tired, and The Heart Lessons Podcast.
Locally, Emily serves on the women’s ministry team at her church, helping plan and execute Bible studies and events that are gospel-centered and cohesive with the church’s mission. Additionally, she and her husband serve together in Sunday School where they test out their teaching and crafting abilities each week.
Although it’s tough to find a free weekend, Emily loves the opportunity to share biblical truth and encourage women in person. She’s spoken at many events including mom's groups, The One Conference, and Proclaim Truth.
Emily and her husband, Brad, have been married for almost ten years. They have five kids, ages six and under. As a busy household of seven, they enjoy common interests like building fires in the fireplace, eating homemade nachos, spending time with extended family, reading books, watching movies, crafting, and climbing. Emily loves knowing that the sink is clear and the coffee is prepped for the next morning. When possible, she wears a baseball cap and goes to bed early!
